Minus Eight and Sunny

There is another world; a world that has existed for over 45 years, with people that have kept their perspective. It is a place where sun shines bright, offers hope, and is willing to share its simplicity, because it is easy to provide sunshine in the world of ERP.

“The temperature is eight degrees below zero,” the man stated.

“The sun is shining today,” replied his wife.

Perspective; It is both minus eight and sunny, but where is your focus?

This week’s barrage of tweets, articles, and stories leaves the impression we are in the ‘nuclear winter’ of ERP. $290 Million failed implementations, decision makers hate their ERP system, useless functionality

Is there any sunshine in the fallout? Not if you choose to hang your head and accept the deep freeze instead of noticing the sunshine. Josh may have gotten it right in his tweet. That is a dark cold place.

There is another world; a world that has existed for over 50 years, with people that have kept perspective. It is place where the sun shines bright, offers hope, and is willing to share its simplicity, because it is easy to provide sunshine in the world of ERP;

· Take care of your people so they take care of your customers.

· Be easy to do business with.

· Build software that is easy to install, easy to use and solves real business problems.

· Provide a path that is minimally disruptive to business and delivers rapid incremental value with controlled investment.

· Collaborative Development unique to the industry that delivers functionality based on user needs, delivers value, and is fully supported.

Good news; the sun IS shining today. It actually shines every day, sometimes it happens to be behind a cloud (no pun intended). The warmth of its radiance cuts through the icy air and nourishes the soul, even when it is eight below zero. #SoftwareOnYOURTerms
