Why are there businesses and complete industries built around performing services that companies must acquire in order to obtain any semblance of value in their software investment?
Part 1
There’s another SaaS in the technology industry that’s been around for a long, long time. Billions of dollars of services are performed annually to implement software at the expense of shareholders and small business owners alike. Does that mean that the software wasn’t really as feature rich as it was marketed and sold? Does it mean that it’s too complicated to install and operate? Does it mean that it’s actually being built on-site because what was actually purchased was a minimum viable product that is really, really minimum?
Why are there businesses and complete industries built around performing services that companies must acquire in order to obtain any semblance of value in their software investment? Why is the statement of work always open ended and on a time and material basis? Why do they ask if they can have offices or cubicles in your building? Why do they need ID badges and internal email addresses? Why does it take millions of dollars of process consulting to determine how to get the software and processes to align when it looked so simple in the demo? I’ll stop here.
Ok, one more question. Do these services organizations accept Bitcoin or Bitcoin cash?
