Fulton Bellows LLC. Knoxville, TN

Fulton Bellows LLC., a United Flexible Company located in Knoxville TN, provides precision metallic flexible actuation devices for diverse markets and applications. These devices are in the form of metallic bellows, bellows assemblies, thermostatic actuators, and diaphragm compensators. Markets include aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, oil and gas, medical, and industrial.

Fulton Bellows, LLC is the oldest manufacturer of seamless metal bellows. Our founder, Weston Fulton, patented the device in 1901 and built his first factory in Knoxville, TN in 1904. Today, Fulton Bellows, LLC. is a division of United Flexible, Inc. out of Romeoville, IL.

Prior to our ERP system conversion to HarrisData, we were utilizing an unsupported ERP platform on an AS400 that was nearing its end of life. Faced with this impending deadline, our sister division, US Hose out of Romeoville, IL, demonstrated their usage of HarrisData to see if it would be a good fit for Fulton Bellow’s operations.

We contracted with HarrisData for valuable configuration, data conversion, and training assistance and went Live on HarrisData on time and under budget effective September 2018.

Prior to HarrisData, we would encounter periodic, unexplainable data error issues, such as two PO receipts on the same PO but under two different vendors. Or where the process to automatically backflush components would work most of the time but would fail at other times which caused inventory headaches. Purchasing had to wade through 300 pages of a weekly MRP report in order to determine what components needed to be ordered.

Being on an unsupported ERP platform we had no options but to deal with these issues as they were encountered, and we were unable to change system configurations to suit our needs, due to the lack of system knowledge. In addition, users were forced to use the Query feature to pull any kind of custom information required.

Now with HarrisData, we finally have knowledgeable technical support to assist with issues and answer questions. We were able to set up the system to suit our needs and satisfy some of our future desires such as the ability to email purchase orders, invoices, and acknowledgements without many extra steps. The EIP browser enables all of our users the ability to customize their inquiry views and do simple inquiries without having to go into queries for the information. The automatic backflush of components is much easier to set up and works every time and our MRP only has a few pages for purchasing to look at saving hours per week.
